Mobility
Sustainable Mobility
Sustainable mobility offers are meeting with a great response. For the research institutions and companies, health-promoting and environmentally friendly bicycle mobility for employees is part of the common guiding principle of the 'Green Campus', as are charging stations for e-mobility.
Bike sharing – powered by nextbike
ll employees of Campus Berlin-Buch and Helios-Klinikum Berlin-Buch (except Charité) enjoy 30 free minutes per rental in Berlin-Buch. To take advantage of these benefits, simply link to the partner ‘Campus Berlin-Buch’ in the Wallet of your nextbike app, enter your work email address and confirm the verification link via email. Afterwards a rental fee of 1€/30 min (max. 15€/24 h) applies.
How it works:
REGISTRATION
To access the benefits for employees, connect to the nextbike app under "Wallet" with the partner "Campus Berlin-Buch." Registration is free. The customer account is activated by a transfer or debit of €1. This €1 is deposited as start credit and can be used in all tariffs. After registration, simply click the confirmation link in the email and you’re ready to go.
RENTAL
Rent a nextbike at one of the stations in Berlin-Buch. Simply scan the QR Code on the bike with the nextbike app and the FrameLock will open automatically.
PAUSE
Pause your ride without ending the rental. Simply pause your ride in the app and close the lock. The rental stays active during the pause and will be charged as usual.
RETURN
Return the bike to a station in Berlin-Buch and press down the small lever on the FrameLock. For returns away from stations in Berlin-Buch, e.g. in Berlin itself, we charge a service fee of €20.

E-Mobility
Charging points for cars are available for staff and guests on the Berlin-Buch campus. The charging stations are located at Building D80.

Jelbi brings sharing to Buch
Fast, flexible, and good for the environment – BVG, sharing providers, and the operating company of the science and biotech campus have launched a Jelbi network for this healthcare location.
At several stations and points across the campus, employees and residents can take advantage of environmentally friendly sharing services. In addition to the campus bikes from nextbike, the sharing options include e-bikes and e-scooters, as well as station-based e-car sharing. Flexible one-way car sharing is also available on-site.
All services – except for nextbike bikes – can be booked via the Jelbi app. The app also allows users to report improperly parked shared two-wheelers in Berlin.
